Green Mountain Bicycle Club
The Green Mountain Bicycle Club, formed in 1968, is the largest cycling club in Vermont, consisting of over 200 individual and family members. Massachussetts Bicycling Coalition
The primary purposes of MassBike are: to serve and protect the interests of the bicycling public in Massachusetts, to promote the bicycle as a healthy, enjoyable, efficient, and environment-friendly means of transportation and recreation, to promote a physical geographic context and vehicular traffic environment that enhance these qualities and ensure the safety of transportation by bicycle, and to help more people adopt the bicycle for transportation and recreation. Mohawk Hudson Cycling Club
The Mohawk Hudson Cycling Club consists of over 700 members who live and cycle in the greater Capital District area of eastern New York State. Adventure Cycling Association
Adventure Cycling Association’s nonprofit mission is to inspire people of all ages to travel by bicycle for fitness, fun, and self-discovery. As America's largest recreational cycling association, it has developed the National Bicycle Route Network, encompassing more than 38,158 miles (and growing) of road and mountain bike trails, which are depicted on high-quality route maps.
Bicycle Friendly Community
The Bicycle Friendly Community Campaign is an awards program that recognizes municipalities that actively support bicycling. A Bicycle-Friendly Community provides safe accommodation for cycling and encourages its residents to bike for transportation and recreation. The League of American Bicyclists administers the Bicycle Friendly Community Campaign.
Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute
This is the advocacy program of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, a small, active, non-profit consumer-funded program acting as a clearinghouse and a technical resource for bicycle helmet information. Volunteers from the BHSI serve on the ASTM bicycle helmet standard committee and are active in commenting on actions of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
